N\u00e3o seria diferente quando o olhar fosse trazido para o campo da tradu\u00e7\u00e3o de literatura infantojuvenil. O percurso delineado por estudiosos das \u00e1reas dos Estudos da Tradu\u00e7\u00e3o e dos Estudos de Literatura Infantojuvenil, campos de pesquisa em ascens\u00e3o contribuiu para que o objeto em tela ganhasse evid\u00eancia. O adjetivo \u201cinfantil\u201d \u00e9 apresentado como colaborador na cria\u00e7\u00e3o e propaga\u00e7\u00e3o de um modelo que relega o g\u00eanero \u00e0 condi\u00e7\u00e3o de superficial e simplista. A literatura infantojuvenil quase sempre aparece como utilit\u00e1ria ou pedagogizada em virtude de sua forte conex\u00e3o com institui\u00e7\u00f5es como igreja, fam\u00edlia e escola, o que pode remeter ao olhar de um g\u00eanero sem qualquer preocupa\u00e7\u00e3o com aspectos est\u00e9ticos e art\u00edsticos, dado o p\u00fablico a que se destina e em contraponto \u00e0 literatura feita para adultos, apresentada como can\u00f4nica e superior. Por sofrer influ\u00eancia e interfer\u00eancias dos adultos, respons\u00e1veis por quase todas as etapas (escrita, publica\u00e7\u00e3o, tradu\u00e7\u00e3o, inser\u00e7\u00e3o e distribui\u00e7\u00e3o das obras no mercado) at\u00e9 o produto final chegar ao seu p\u00fablico-alvo, resta, muitas vezes \u00e0s crian\u00e7as e jovens, uma recep\u00e7\u00e3o pouco contestadora de obras que passam por interven\u00e7\u00f5es outras. Estas interven\u00e7\u00f5es, muitas vezes necess\u00e1rias para a manuten\u00e7\u00e3o do g\u00eanero, passam n\u00e3o apenas por tradu\u00e7\u00f5es interlinguais, mas outras estrat\u00e9gias como adapta\u00e7\u00f5es, vers\u00f5es, tradu\u00e7\u00f5es intersemi\u00f3tica, entre outras. Neste simp\u00f3sio nos interessam os trabalhos que discutam a tradu\u00e7\u00e3o de literatura infantojuvenil: as peculiaridades da tradu\u00e7\u00e3o do g\u00eanero, tais como, a rela\u00e7\u00e3o assim\u00e9trica\/leitor dual; a multiplicidade de fun\u00e7\u00f5es, dado apontado pela inser\u00e7\u00e3o\/pertencimento do g\u00eanero aos sistemas s\u00f3cio-educacional e liter\u00e1rio; e, principalmente a manipula\u00e7\u00e3o textual, percebida nas liberdades tomadas em virtude da condi\u00e7\u00e3o perif\u00e9rica do g\u00eanero: cortes, omiss\u00f5es, acr\u00e9scimos, adapta\u00e7\u00f5es e ajustes de linguagem determinados por quest\u00f5es ideol\u00f3gicas em f\u00e1bulas, contos de fadas, poemas narrativas de aventura, entre outras, destinadas ao p\u00fablico infanto-juvenil, bem como quest\u00f5es relacionadas \u00e0 voz do tradutor e\/ou \u00e0 voz do narrador da tradu\u00e7\u00e3o no g\u00eanero em apre\u00e7o.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Palavras-chave:<\/strong> Tradu\u00e7\u00e3o, Literatura Infantojuvenil, Estrat\u00e9gias de tradu\u00e7\u00e3o<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Abstract: <\/strong>Children&#8217;s literature has been considered inferior for many years. Just recently it started to be studied and made visible by the academia, as assumed by O\u2019Connell (2006)&nbsp;and Hunt (2010). It would not be different when it comes to translating children&#8217;s literature. The path outlined by Translation Studies and Children&#8217;s Literature Studies scholars, both rising research fields that contributed to highlight the topic. The adjective \u201cchildren\u201d acts as a collaborator in the creation and diffusion of a model that relegates this genre to the condition of superficial or simplistic. Children&#8217;s literature is often presented as functional or pedagogical due to its strong connection to institutions such as church, family, and school. It may refer the genre to a lack of concern for aesthetic and artistic aspects, given the target audience, and in counterpoint to the literature for adults, considered canonical, and superior. Since adults interfere and influence almost all phases (writing, publishing, translating, insertion, and distribution of works in the market) until the product reaches the target audience, what is left to children and young readers is a little questioning reception of works that go through other interventions. Such interventions are often necessary to maintain the gender. They pass not only through interlingual translations, but through other strategies as adaptations, versions, intersemiotic translations, among others. During this symposium we are interested in works that discuss children&#8217;s literature translation: characteristics of the translation of this genre, as the asymmetrical\/dual relation with the reader; multiplicity of functions indicated by the insertion\/belonging to social, educational and literary systems, which are perceived in the actions related to its peripheral condition: cuts, omissions, additions, adaptations, and language adjustments determined by ideological questions in fables, fairy tales, adventure narratives, poems, among others.
